2 Peter 2:4; For if God did not spare the angel when they sinned, but condemned them to the chains of Tartarus and handed them over to be kept for judgement.

These passages often take people aback because they contradict the idea of a loving and merciful God. However, we need to remember that God is not only merciful but also just. This means that He expects people to live up to certain standards and if they don't then there must be consequences.

Peter is writing to Christians who have been persecuted and so he warns them about the future persecution that they will face. He talks about how God has given them a lot of blessings and how it would be wrong for the Christians to forget the power that was used to save them from all their sins.

Jesus loves me. Say it out loud.

Say it again Jesus loves me.

You are never alone. God Bless Brother Philip
