John 7:46

Jesus proclaimed that the Kingdom of God is within you when he healed the paralytic, and with his words he touched on a central theme in Christianity.

The Kingdom of God is not a physical kingdom in some far away place, but rather it’s an attitude, a way of living. The Kingdom is within you and it reveals itself to anyone who welcomes Jesus.

Works are the way we live out this message in our day-to-day lives - through our actions and deeds for example. The Kingdom of God has burst into your life today because you have welcomed Jesus into yours.

The words of the prophets are written on the scroll as a picture of what Jesus is doing in our day. In verse 46, John was writing about what Jesus was doing in his day. As he preached to his people, he told them that the kingdom of God has burst.

In this passage from John’s gospel, we see a glimpse into the life of one man who believed that Jesus is alive and at work today just as He was in his day. We also see how important it is for us to have a personal relationship with Him and to follow His commands even if they go against what many people believe.

Always remember Jesus loves me. Say it out loud.

Say it again Jesus loves me.

You are never alone. God Bless Brother Philip
